GojiJazzra Bass

Once again, Olivier came back with a refinishing idea for this Squier Affinity Jazz Bass. I remember the reference was the artwork on the vinyl cover of Gojira's album *The Way of All Flesh*. "Similar but not the same," he asked me. With a little research, I found illustrations of an ouroboros (the ancient symbol showing a serpent devouring itself, symbolizing the eternal cycle of creation and destruction).

The background texture was created using a rag, reminiscent of clouds or dark smoke. The ouroboros sketch, drawn in chalk and then with an acrylic marker, was covered with no fewer than 15 layers of matte acrylic varnish!
