This avoids unnecessarily forcing the wood and reduces the risk of breaking the screw in the guitar body.<\/p>\n<hr data-path-to-node=\"11\" \/>\n<h2 data-path-to-node=\"12\"><b data-path-to-node=\"12\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">Step 2: The fight with the strap (The &quot;Sandwich&quot;)<\/b><\/h2>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"13\">This is where things get complicated, especially with a nice thick leather strap.<\/p>\n<ol start=\"1\" data-path-to-node=\"14\">\n<li>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"14,0,0\"><b data-path-to-node=\"14,0,0\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">The assembly:<\/b> The locking rod is placed through the strap, then the large washer is added to the back.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"14,1,0\"><b data-path-to-node=\"14,1,0\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">Compression:<\/b> You have to compress the leather very hard to free the notch on the shaft.
