This is similar to what is done on a high-end guitar, with the attention to detail of a luthier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The process includes properly seating the frets, leveling, polishing, rounding the edges of the fingerboard for a more comfortable feel, and precisely adjusting the neck joint and components like the nut and bridge. I also emphasize the importance of electrically insulating the electronic cavities with conductive paint, which is my preferred method, rather than using tape. Finally, I discuss balancing the guitar by adjusting the strap button positions to prevent discomfort when standing. Properly preparing and adjusting them eliminates muted notes and dead spots, and provides optimal playing comfort.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Customized tools for better assembly<\/strong> I use a suitable tool (in this case, a modified screwdriver handle) to press the frets in. Sometimes, homemade solutions allow for just as precise and gentle work without damaging the frets. I also glue the frets with cyanoacrylate adhesive, which fills the tiny gaps and reduces the rebound effect when filing.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Leveling and polishing are fundamental<\/strong> When there are many frets to adjust, I do a complete leveling to obtain a perfectly flat fingerboard, free of bumps, and ensure good sustain. The final polishing not only gives a professional look, but also a pleasant feel under the fingers.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Ergonomics thanks to the rounded edges<\/strong> I slightly round the edges of the fretboard to simulate the natural wear and tear of a guitar after years of playing. This provides more comfort without affecting playability or sound. It&#039;s an often overlooked detail, but crucial for long-term playing enjoyment.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Adjustments to the sleeve-body joint to prevent discomfort<\/strong> When the neck mounting angle is incorrect, it affects the string height and can result in screws that get in the way of your hand. I use shims or sand the heel of the neck, a simple but effective technique to correct this depending on the type of neck (bolt-on or set).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Grounding the cavities with conductive paint<\/strong> I choose conductive paint rather than copper tape to insulate electronic cavities. This is an economical and effective approach to reducing electrical interference, which improves sound quality and wiring reliability.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Optimizing how to hold the guitar upright<\/strong> I&#039;ve modified the position of the strap buttons to suspend the guitar above its center of gravity.
